The HandsTogether Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the contributions of young people to Africa’s development potentials by providing capacity-building opportunities, fostering civic engagement, conducting policy research, and advocating for leadership, strategy, and innovative solutions.
As the world still struggles with gender inequality, with pay gaps, limited opportunities, and unbalanced representation of women in leadership positions, women continue to face overwhelming challenges in accessing education, employment, and public governance. This lack of representation and participation leads to a detrimental impact on their mental health and exacerbates the already dire economic hardships faced by young women.
However, the presence of women leaders brings hope and a ray of light to this dark reality. They bring a unique, fresh perspective to decision-making, leading to a more inclusive society that promotes both governance and economic success. Their leadership also serves as an inspiration to other young women, encouraging them to pursue their own leadership dreams and become agents of change in their communities. With women’s voices amplified in leadership positions, we can work towards breaking down the barriers that limit their potential and create a brighter future for all.
